Say hello to Altra's stripped down Escalante Racer New York Marathon Special Edition road running shoe.

Part of this years releases highlighting the big-six marathons around the world, this cool design celebrates the New York Marathon.

The Escalante Racer is Altra's faster, higher performance version of the Escalante with Altra's signature zero heel-to-toe drop.

The upper is firmer, highly breathable and has a lighter heel counter for optimum cornering and comfort on the race course.

To top it off, the Altra EGO midsole is a touch firmer for a little more energy return and a little less cush.

Each limited edition version is inspired by a major city and only available surrounding its respective marathon.

Grid-like grooves in the midsole allow your foot to flex while being lighter, for more speed and better performance.

Dual-Nature midsole compound with a responsive, yet soft feel for increased energy return.

"While simple in design, this shoe has blown me away, continuing to prove that simple is the way to go.", 2018

"Altra took its popular Escalante and tuned it for even more speed, and the result is the limited-edition Escalante Racer. This souped-up version comes with a stiffer, highly breathable upper and a lighter heel counter. While the midsole is still constructed with EGO foam like the original Escalante, here it’s formulated to be firmer and provide more energy return, so you can really kick up the tempo.", 2019
