The Altra Torin 4.0 is a road shoe that can do just about everything.
It is sleek and lightweight, which makes it perfect for racing, but there is definitely enough cushion to the shoe that it can be used to log some serious training miles while still keeping your feet happy.
Stack height: 26mm
Altra taken the fan-favourite Torin and tuned it for the racecourse. Altra have added the new Altra Quantic™ midsole and removed the strobel layer with results in 2mm less cushion/height than the Torin 4 Plush for a lighter, faster and more responsive Torin.
The strategic decoupling on the outsole gives you a flexible but smooth ride throughout and with a lightweight performance mesh, this shoe is ready for spirited miles.
Places your heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground to encourage proper, low-impact form throughout your run.
Allows your toes to relax and spread out naturally for more comfort and stability in uphill climbs and downhill descents.
An outsole technology that actually maps the bones and tendons of your foot to help it bend and move naturally.
Quantic™ was inspired by a desire to combine the plush feel of Altra EGO™ with a lightweight ride, it cushions every step and floats over any surface
In terms of sizing, we find that all the Altra models run a bit small. Our best recommendation is to order at least a half size up from your conventional running shoes. For example, if you normally wear a US size 9 running shoe, you'll want to go with at least a US size 9.5 in Altra shoe
